The Earth and indeed the Universe have been Engineered to Support Life

For more than a quarter century, scientists have wrestled with a rather profound proposition. This is largely due to the improvement and advancement of available instrumentation. This proposition, known as the Anthropic Principle, has to do with the fact that the Earth and indeed the Universe seem to be specifically engineered to support life!

"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else." Isaiah 45:18

The following article provides a good summary of this principle:

"The Anthropic Principle was first suggested in a 1973 paper, by the astrophysicist and cosmologist Brandon Carter from Cambridge University, at a conference held in Poland to celebrate the 500th birthday of the father of modern astronomy, Nicolaus Copernicus. The Anthropic Principle is an attempt to explain the observed fact that the fundamental constants of physics and chemistry are just right or fine-tuned to allow the universe and life at we know it to exist. The Anthropic Principle says that the seemingly arbitrary and unrelated constants in physics have one strange thing in common--these are precisely the values you need if you want to have a universe capable of producing life. The universe gives the appearance that it was designed to support life on earthÂ…" More on the Anthropic Principle
