The Hinnom Valley Amulets testify to the Authenticity of the Old Testament

To date, the Hinnom Valley Amulets are the earliest known fragments of any portion of biblical text that have ever been found. These two tiny silver scrolls were discovered back in 1979 on a dig involving archeologist Gordon Franz (who is on the advisory board of Christian Evidences Ministries).

These scrolls contain what is called the 'Tetragrammaton' or what is also known as the 'Priestly Blessing' - a quote from Numbers 6: 22-27:

"The Lord bless you and protect you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance to you and give you peace."

These scrolls, which would be worn around the neck as amulets, date back to 700BC. They are the oldest portion of Scripture that has been found to date.

You can be sure that when you read your Old Testament, you are reading the words of the original autographs. History proves it!

When you compare the quote of Numbers 6 as found on the Hinnom Valley Amulets with the Masoretic Text and the rest of the manuscripts, they are virtually identical!
