 "And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. " Acts 2: 40-41
"Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour." Acts 3: 1
These baptisms must have occurred right in the vicinity of the Temple. One difficulty Bible scholars formerly had was identifying where such a multitude would have been baptized - this was solved when a number of "Mikveh" or ceremonial baths were found right below the Temple platform near the Al-Aqsa Mosque. 
Yet more physical evidence corroborating Scripture.
